Where are you from?
Born and raised in Breckenridge, Minnesota

When did you first get into music?

I can’t remember not being into it. I’m the youngest of four children and my brothers and sister always seemed to have music playing. Elvis, Janis Joplin, Dylan, the Beach Boys…it was all there. The first album I ever owned was Johnny Cash at San Quentin. I was about six or seven years old and my mother bought it for me. I played the grooves out of it!

How many years have you been playing in bands?
Judging by the lines in my face,
too long! Seriously I’ve been
playing in various groups on and
off for about twenty years or so.

Who are your favorite bands?
Depends on my mood.

What do you like best about being in Fat Daddys?
The people in the band. The chemistry works so well and it always feels like family. Darrell is one of my oldest and closest friends. They don’t come any better than him. Logan’s heart is as big as his talent. He’s the son I think everybody wishes they had. I know I do. I remember holding him the day he was born…how old do I feel? Nick just amazes me. Not just with his talent but with his take on life. He’s the best. He’s quickly become one of my best friends and confidants.

What is your favorite “on the road” food?
Look at me! Obviously anything that isn’t nailed down!

What is your most memorable band moment?
A hot summer night in Clearbrook Minnesota. Nough said!
